Cacopardo to resign, Sandra Gauci to be elected ADPD leader

Sandra Gauci, currently deputy leader, will be elected ADPD leader as the only contender at the party’s AGM next Saturday

Carmel Cacopardo is to resign as leader of ADPD in the green party’s Annual General Meeting next Saturday, Mark Camilleri first reported.

Sandra Gauci, who has been candidate for General and European Parliament elections, is a teacher of Italian, a satirical comedian and freelance writer.

‘We need dreamers and doers’

“I look forward to bring this much needed wave of change starting from the bottom up. Corruption, cost of living, the current unsustainable economic model are top priority on the list as without tackling them the country cannot function”, Gauci told Bonġu.

“I am full of energy and looking forward to bring zest to the Green Party in Malta. Getting the most out of my team will be crucial to make the party grow and make the dream of a strong electable third party a reality.”

“Call me naive a dreamer: pick your adjective. But in a time of doom and gloom we need dreamers and doers”, Sandra Gauci said.
